About Flora

Hi, I’m Flora — a wellness blogger, mom of two, and the person behind Nestly Guide.
I have two kids — a girl who’s obsessed with her scooter and a boy who still can’t sleep without three specific stuffed animals lined up in a row — and most days I’m somewhere between “on top of it” and “barely holding it together.” I’m guessing that’s familiar to a lot of you too.
I started Nestly Guide because I spent years buying things, trying things, and reading things that promised to fix how tired and overwhelmed I felt, and most of it did nothing. This is the site I wish someone had handed me back then.
My Story
I didn’t come to wellness from a calm, curious place. I came to it after my second pregnancy, when I went through a stretch of postpartum depression that I didn’t recognize for what it was until months later. I remember standing in my kitchen one afternoon, kids fed, dishes done, everything technically “fine,” and feeling completely disconnected from my own life. I’d gained weight I didn’t know how to talk about, I had no energy left for anything past 3pm, and I genuinely didn’t feel like myself in my own body.
Then Covid happened, and whatever fragile routine I had fell apart completely. I bought supplements I never finished. I tried three different “morning routines” I saw online, none of which lasted past day four. I spent money I probably shouldn’t have on products that promised a lot and delivered very little, because I was desperate for something to work and I wasn’t thinking clearly enough to tell the difference between marketing and substance.
What actually turned things around wasn’t one big fix. It was slowing down enough to get more careful — about what I bought, what I put on my skin, what I let take up space in my house and my head. It took longer than I wanted it to. But it worked, and it’s the reason this site exists.
Why You Can Trust What's Here
I don’t recommend anything I haven’t used myself. That’s not a marketing line — it’s just how I write. Before something ends up on the blog, I’ve tried it, usually for weeks, sometimes longer, and I’ve looked into what’s actually in it or how it’s made. If it didn’t live up to what it promised, I say that too, even when it means telling you not to buy something.
I also read what you write to me. Comments, emails, the occasional message asking “did you ever try X” — that’s genuinely where a lot of my article ideas come from. This isn’t me talking at you from a script. It’s closer to a conversation that’s just slower than a text thread.

What You'll Find Here
A handful of things, all pulled from what I’ve actually lived through:
- Wellness & Self-Care — small, realistic routines for anyone juggling work, kids, and everything in between, not 2-hour rituals nobody has time for
- Beauty — honest opinions on skincare and beauty products, based on what actually worked on my own skin, not what’s trending this month
- Postpartum Support — the practical, specific advice I needed during my own fourth trimester and couldn’t easily find
- Home & Décor — small changes that make a space feel calmer, because I noticed how much my surroundings affected my mood, even before I understood why
Let's Stay in Touch
If you want more of this in between blog posts, I’m usually posting new routines and finds on Pinterest first. And if you’ve got a question, a product you want me to actually try and report back on, or you just want to say hi — reach out here. I read every message myself.
